As part of my documentary project of photographing leaves of different types with different textures, colors, and shapes, I routinely go through a very deliberate process. One day, as usual, I placed several leaves in water to soften them, and then brought them out to the balcony with weights to press and dry them straight, all for the purpose of capturing high-quality photographs for the collection.
During this routine processâin which I constantly handle, inspect, and hold many leavesâa particularly beautiful leaf accidentally slipped from my hand (perhaps due to a short gust of wind) and fell down to the ground in the inner courtyard. I immediately went down to look for it, but the leaf was nowhere to be found. I believe I had managed to document it a few days before, but when I tried to re-photograph it with a better resolution and level of focus (perhaps after attempting to soften and dry it once more)âit simply was a failure and I couldn’t recapture it.
On the other hand, during that very search, I stumbled upon a magnificent leaf. It wasn’t remarkable due to its shape, and certainly not due to its size, but rather because of its astonishing, intense texture and colors. This striking encounter sparked the immediate idea of a breathtaking women’s dress, and from that single moment of happy accident, everything that can be seen here was born.

Explanations:
- Version 1 – This is an adaptation based on the very unique leaf that I have found. I took a portion of this leaf and implement it on the dress. This design, is simple, smooth and elegant.
- Version 1.1 – This is a ‘creative’ AI adaptation of “Version 1”.
- Version 2 (Pale-Blue) – Based on “Version 1” with different color opacities and blending effects for having this outcome.
- Version 3 (Green-Blue-Red) – Similar procedure process as in “Version 2”.
- Version 4 (Blue-Green) – Similar procedure process as in “Version 2”.
- Version 5 – Similar explanation as in “Version 1” but, I took the entire design of the leaf with a dress shaped accordingly.
