Now, I have a respectable memory (souvenir) of them.
Story and background to my recoveries:
As I have mentioned, time and time again, I started the image recoveries about 3 years ago (somewhere around Oct 2022). It started with basic things such as de-noising, sharpening, and more. Soon after (perhaps around Mar 2023), I also started to be more focused on upscaling and paying attention to details, as well as colorizing.
From the start until around July 2025, I had a habit to, first, restoring (i.e., fixing the black and white photo) and then, 2nd, to colorize them. That habit was also to upload them in the same way to my social platform as Source VS Fixed (Enhanced) VS Fixed Colorized. Although this is a nice way to show the progression, it is very time-consuming.
As such, in the last 6 months, give or take, I am restoring (improving) old photos, simultaneously, meaning that in the end, it is Source VS Fixed Colorized (Full Restoration).
In here:
- Source (Inside the frame).
- My previous and basic restoration and colorization (Sep 3, 2023).
- My current full restoration (Jan 17, 2026).
- More realistic (and extremely precise) with a little creativity in the clothes (Jan 17, 2026).
