My father, at this point, cannot remember what was the point of making these drawings and cutting them in this way.
Now, my father and I, are trying to guess.
Object 1:

It looks very similar to a ‘pine cone weights’ that is a part of the mechanism in the traditional “Cuckoo Clock”, made from cast iron and a little of bronze in the finish for an authentic (old, rustic) look.

Maybe it is related to the series (topic) of drawings about tringles, spikes and thrones, such as: “Shapes”, “Spikes”, “Star Thistle”, “Thorn In A Jar”, “Spikes, Thornes And Triangles” and “Thorn”.
Object 2:

Maybe it is related to the piece “Bull Tail” as for my father perhaps tried to create another bull and this are his horns. However, the rest of the bull in not exist.
