“Community, Deviance, and Policing” is a book based on studies written over the years and published in various academic platforms: books, journals, and conferences in Israel and abroad. They combine pure academic knowledge with the author’s practical teaching experience at universities and colleges in Israel and the United States, in the fields of sociology, psychology, social psychology, and criminology.
All of this is accompanied by planning and, in particular, practical experience in the field of preventing violence in the education system through the safe school model and martial arts.

My “Combination” – In negative
The book offers academics a study and discussion of the effects of community dimensions on the phenomena of deviance and its community solutions, while linking academic knowledge to the world of those who actually deal with crime: police officers, judges, treatment personnel, and especially students who study and specialize in the above fields.
Dr. Israel Kim is the head of the Criminology and Law Enforcement track at Beit Berl Academic College, which is integrated with the Open University. He is a member of the editorial board of the international journal “Israel Studies In Criminology”, a member of the board of the Israeli Society and Council for Criminology, and a member of NCCP (National Council for Crime Prevention).
