Note:
An image that I am restoring, at the end of the process it is difficult to remember what I did (such as: finding solutions, steps, which software/application I used, which techniques I used, etc.) to reach the desired result. In fact, I can describe this just like a sculpturer sculp a wood sculpture – He carves the wood according to feeling with a chisel until he reaches the desired sculpture/shape.
In this case, before starting the restoration (regardless to the colorization but only to the improvement itself), I was impressed by what I see and how it should look in the end, as accurate as possible but also as beautiful as possible and yes, I do not compromise on any of the parameters.
It is important to note in this context that making a beautiful improvement (as I call it “AI adaptation” or “AI Imagination”) loses credibility, authenticity and proximity to the original and therefore, in a short process (or long; depending on the image) I make sure that the beautiful is also very accurate.
Then, while looking and checking against the original image (initial state), I begin a basic improvement process with software/application (or several) including several steps (corrections and improvements in Photoshop). I return to the original image and check what I did, examine different parts of the image (such as: landscape, trees, soil, pants, shirt, face, facial features and everything else) and after deep observation (as I call it: “The artist’s eye” or “gut feeling”) I continue to work on areas that were not done well (or not well enough), with additional steps with the same software/application (or several) and more steps in Photoshop, and so on and so forth, I repeat this until I reach the desired result – The job is done perfectly.
Every image has its own problem and obstacles to overcome. Therefore, each image has its own process, different steps, similar or different software/application (or several) – The same problems, I encounter while working and try to solve along the way (not something I planned in advance) and I enter a state of trance (a muse), where I work and work on the image until I finish – Therefore, at the end of the process I generally remember what I did and not in details.
After I’ve been doing this for a relatively long time, I already have an experience (gut feeling) that leads me during that state of muse.
This image probably to me around
